Tennis:
Hit the courts on one of our two indoor courts or 10 outdoor hard and clay courts. Tennis clinics and private lessons are available with our tennis pro.
Racquetball:
The Racquet and Fitness Club has everything you need to get in some court time on our racquetball court.
The Woodstock Racquet & Fitness Club:
Enjoy our weight and fitness center, indoor pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool. An variety of fitness classes is also available.
Croquet:
Hit the wickets at the Racquet & Fitness Club’s outdoor croquet court.
The Billings Farm & Museum:
Step back into Vermont’s rural heritage and visit a working dairy farm, explore farm-life exhibits and tour the historic homestead to take you back to agricultural life in the 1890’s.
Ice Skating at the Union Arena
Partake in public skating in Woodstock’s local indoor arena. Skate rentals are available on-site.
Montshire Museum of Science:
Explore hands-on activities for the whole family at this fantastic interactive natural science museum in Norwich, VT.
VINS Nature Center:
Visit the Vermont Institute of Natural Science and experience live bird shows and see over 20 species of hawks, eagles, falcons and owls.
King Arthur Flour
Visit America’s oldest flour company, founded in 1790. Sample artisan bread, take a baking class, get great recipes and shop in the baker’s store. Located in Norwich, Vermont.
Hood Museum of Art:
Enjoy one of America’s oldest museums located at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Offering over 65,000 works of art and artifacts with special art exhibits and lectures throughout the year.

See glassblowing in action at Simon Pearce, visit the fine woodworking workshop of Thomas Shackleton and see the ceramic studio of Miranda Thomas.
Rock Climbing:
Head to Taftsville and get in some climbing time at the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center. Lessons and all necessary equipment are available to enjoy a day of climbing on the 45’ of Vermont’s tallest indoor rock climbing wall.
Town Hall Theater:
Enjoy a movie and maple popcorn at Woodstock’s historic Town Hall Theater.
Tour Local Breweries:
Partake in the sampling of local brews by visiting the nearby Long Trail and Harpoon breweries.

Summer Activities:
Golf at The Woodstock Inn & Resort Golf Club:
Enjoy our spectacular 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Complete with driving range, putting greens, pro shop and The Fairway Grille.
Carriage Rides:
Experience the rural tranquility of a carriage or wagon ride throughout the warmer months of the year at Kedron Valley Stables. Riding lessons on their indoor and outdoor riding arenas are also available throughout the year.
Hiking:
Enjoy the many miles of hiking paths and carriage roads through the National Historic Park and the Town Forest. For those a bit more adventuresome, head to the nearby Appalachian Trail for a day hike.
Biking:
Cruise through the beautiful countryside on country lanes and local roads with bike rentals available in the Village or though our Guest Services Desk.
Swimming:
Take a dip all year round at our indoor pool. For fairer weather, head out to our onsite outdoor pool or cruise up to Silver Lake State Park.
Kayaking/Canoeing:
Outfitters and state parks offer an array of kayaks, canoes and paddleboats to get you out on the many local lakes and rivers.

Take pleasure in one of the most romantic of sports on nearby rivers and streams.
The Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park:
Learn about the history of our landscape in Vermont’s only National Park. Tour the historic mansion and view the beautiful Victorian architecture and the fabulous collection of Hudson River School paintings.
Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site:
Visit the home, studio and grounds of America’s prominent 19th century sculptor in Cornish, NH.
Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site:
Tour the historic homestead and historical Vermont hill town of Plymouth Notch. Visit the one-room schoolhouse, general store and see cheese making at Plymouth Artisan Cheese.
Winter Activities:
Downhill Skiing at Suicide Six
Family winter fun begins at Suicide Six. A mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced trails, there is a little for all ski levels to enjoy.
Ice Fishing:
Get outfitted in winter for fishing on local lakes and ponds.
Snowmobile Tours:
Head to West Bridgewater and cruise through winter with Killington Snowmobile Tours on the many miles of state snowmobile trails and slopes of Killington Mountain.
Cross-country Skiing and Snowshoeing.
Enjoy our Nordic Center, which has over 30 kilometers of groomed trails for snowshoeing and classic cross-country and skate skiing. Equipment rental is available for all activities at the Nordic Shop.
Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides:
Take a romantic ride around the woods and hills of South Woodstock. Kedron Valley Stables offers sleigh rides throughout the winter season along trails at the Green Mountain Horse Association.
Dog Sledding:
Take a dog sledding tour through the fields of Windsor, Vermont and the Path of Life Garden with Great River Outfitters.
