Green Initiatives
The Woodstock Inn & Resort is dedicated to preserving and protecting the pristine beauty Vermont is internationally acclaimed for. We’ve designed our Inn, Resort, and Spa facilities to leave a lighter footprint by incorporating Environmental Best Practices wherever possible.
Sustainability
We strive to reduce waste by extending the life cycle of many materials. Guestroom plastics, newspaper, and white paper are recycled at nearby facilities. Kitchen materials, such as glass and plastic, are sorted and recycled, while fryer grease is used to make bio-diesel. Grass clippings are composted and churned back into the soil. Retired technology parts are sent to a computer-recycling center.
Earth-Friendly Products
We keep land and water sources clean by using green cleaning products on our dishes, 80% organic fertilizers on our golf greens, and organic soaps in our guestrooms. We also conserve water wherever possible and invite guests to join the effort in our terry cleaning conservation program.
Energy Efficiencies
Over the past few years, we’ve installed high-efficiency, compact fluorescent light bulbs throughout The Resort’s buildings as well as high-efficiency boilers and chillers for more responsible temperature control.
