Americana Summer in Woodstock, Vermont
Arriving in Woodstock you truly feel a sense of place. A community with so much history of America offering such charming culture that reflects our country’s pastime. At the same time, there is a sense of revival and preservation of all the wonderful things that are so relevant today.
With the 4th of July approaching, the warm summer temperatures, and activity and events all over the region, this place is bustling with good old fashioned fun. Join us as we celebrate July with a kick-off event with fireworks and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra at Suicide Six Ski Area. Our Lobster dinner on the village green is a signature event with live music and festive spirits. Billings Farm & Museum celebrates their 35th Anniversary with their traditional “Vermont Old 4th”; a patriotic family celebration. In August, we can’t wait for hometown PGA Professional Keegan Bradley to return hosting his annual charity golf tournament. Also, we are very excited to announce our Base Lodge Bluegrass Festival on August 31st.
Although we find many ways to play all day, everyone craves culinary delights. So why not take advantage of what Vermont has become so famous for; our craft brews and hands-down best cheeses in the world. Take a tour of these award winning breweries and farms, or just allow us to share with you what we think are the best of the week right in our restaurants and bars. And, if you have a chance, try our Sunday Red Barn Dinners at Kelly Way Gardens.
In and Around the 4th of July
The Vermont Symphony Orchestra returns again on Friday July 1st to our beloved Suicide Six Ski Area. This amazing moment in time shares music coordinated with a blast of fireworks while you picnic on the lawn from daylight to a starlit night sky. Our Billings Farm & Museum is launching the summer with their 35th Anniversary Celebration on June 24th followed by their Vermont Old 4th event on July 4th. Billings Farm & Museum offers great cultural history and education about the Vermont farming life. They celebrate 35 years by offering a fun day of activities and programs for all ages including a farm animal parade, live music, 1860s baseball, guest speakers, ice cream making, historic games, gourmet cheese sandwiches from the Woodstock Inn, 19th-century magic shows, and more. An if that is not enough patriotism, the town of Woodstock will host an amazing fireworks display on the 4th of July.

Vermont’s Craft? Beer and Cheese.
Traditionally known as a producer of outstanding woodcraft and delicious maple syrup, Vermont has been marked as one of the world best innovators of craft beer and cheese. From the Heady Topper craze to Lawson’s Sip of Sunshine refresher and the infamous Cabot Vermont Cheddar to Jasper Hill Farm’s Bayley Hazen Blue Cheese, brewers and cheesemakers across the state are proving a foodie experience like no other.
We celebrate these products by offering our guests a variety that changes weekly. We can help you hit the road on an all day tour of breweries and farms or let you settle in and serve up Vermont’s finest right here at the Inn.
