Zack's Place Magical Garden Event
Join the Garden Event fundraiser for Zack’s Place at the Kelly Way Gardens! The event will feature Guest Speaker – Ari Rockland-Miller – a mushroom foraging educator and writer, and co-founder of The Mushroom Forager, LLC. You will be able to inoculate a log with Shitake Mushrooms to take home. There will be a demonstration on how to build a wine cap mushroom bed and how to make a shitake totem pole.
Tour the Kelly Way Gardens while enjoying cocktails and enjoy a locally sourced dinner prepared by Executive Chef Matthew McClure, followed by a Live Auction of garden-themed items.
$200 per person, limited to 40 people.
Zack's Place is a local community enrichment center that offers inclusive programs to people with special needs and the community at large. Through these partnership programs, professional instructors and volunteers they offer cultural, artistic, musical, theater, adaptive sports, educational, fitness and fieldtrips. All are welcome at ZP—regardless of age or ability—and programs are provided at no cost to participants.
