After the snowmelt, after the spring rain, after maple sugaring season, Vermont’s landscape blossoms. It seems to happen overnight; the fields are once again lush and vibrant, the daffodils, tulips, and blooming trees speckle color through the valleys, and mountainsides transform into shades of green as leaves begin to unfurl. The spring sunshine enlivens more than the landscape, Vermonters and visitors alike are excited to enjoy the warm air and beauty of their natural surroundings. Our resort is embracing the month of May with activities, fresh ingredients, and anticipation for the season ahead.
Golf Season Ahead
May 1st always brings an exciting milestone – our Woodstock Country Club’s 18-hole golf course opens for the season! This year marks the 130th season of golf in Woodstock, Vermont, and the course is in championship condition for the months of play ahead. The golf shop is stocked with equipment and unique apparel, and the Fairway Grill and bar opens for lunch beginning May 16.
Pride of Woodstock, Vermont
The second annual Pride celebration is back! June 6-8, our Woodstock Village will don rainbow flags and fill with celebrations of love and diversity. Here are some of the event highlights:
- High Heel Race: Saunter, sashay, or sprint down Elm Street in splendid fashion.
- Drag Brunch: Six queens will sing, dance, and perform while you enjoy a decadent brunch buffet at the Woodstock Inn.
- Made with Pride Craft Fair: Shop and enjoy the immense talent of our local community with artisans, culinary, and other vendors.
- Dances: Don’t miss the late-night party and afternoon dances with music by DJs right in the Village.
