Spring Renewal
This time of year feels like a full refresh. The snowmelt gives way to new life with green grass and spring flowers, the sounds of songbirds dance in the air as if for the first time, even old traditions like maple sugaring feel exciting and new again as farmers take advantage of the short season. We are getting prepared for our favorite outdoor sports and are excited to try new passions this year!

Casting into Spring
April marks the start of our fly fishing season! The snowmelt has woken the local streams and rivers from winter, and fish are becoming active again. As warm days begin, insect life signifies great fishing opportunities. We are stocking up our Outdoor Gear and Fly Shop at the Activity Center for fishing and adventure in the months ahead. Our Orvis Endorsed fly fishing guides are booking trips now through the summer and fall, but if you ask them, spring months like April, May, and June provide the best chance to reel in trout from local Vermont waters.

Local Sugar Houses
We’re in the heart of maple sugaring season in Vermont! Book a Sugar Season Escape for great value on a stay with us, and arrange to visit these local sugarhouses during your stay:
