What Is The Woodstock Nordic Center?
The Woodstock Nordic Center is a cross-country ski and snowshoe center in Woodstock, Vermont. It offers a variety of winter trails throughout Mt. Peg and Mt. Tom, including in the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. The center grooms more than 45 km of trails for skate and classic cross-country skiing and maintains more ungroomed trails for snowshoe hikes.
Are Rentals Available?
Cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals, winter clothing, accessories, and trail passes are all available at the Woodstock Nordic Center. You can rent adult skate, classic or backcountry ski packages or snowshoes, and kids skis or snowshoes, plus pulk sleds to tow the littlest ones! In the Woodstock Nordic Center Shop, you'll discover top brands of outdoor gear, winter apparel, adventure accessories, and even a curated fly-fishing selection with Orvis equipment. What Winter Sports Are Offered?
A day pass to the Nordic Center includes access to miles of trails, some groomed for cross-country skiing or fatbiking, plus ungroomed trails for a more invigorating hike on snowshoes. The expert grooming team sets classic ski tracks and wide trails for skate skiing. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available, but you'll need to bring your own fatbike.
Where Can I Snowshoe Hike?
You can trek the trails of Mt. Peg and Mt. Tom on snowshoes. Stop by the Nordic Center to learn what trails are open and where the best hiking for the day is, or check out our Conditions Page for daily updates! The Mt. Peg trails are right out the doors of the Nordic Center, or you can head just a minute through town to explore Mt. Tom and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park.
Are Ski Lessons Available?
Yes! Lesson rates include an all-day trail pass, rentals are not included. Your lesson can be private or you can book as a group and our knowledgeable instructors will help you find the fun in Nordic Skiing! Some of the reasons to book a Nordic Ski Lesson are:
