Alpine Skiing
The family-friendly terrain at Saskadena Six Ski Area sets the tone for a classic winter ski day in the mountains, with gentle terrain perfectly suited for beginners. Three lifts service 24 trails, including a new covered surface lift that is perfect for those just learning their turns! Rentals, repairs, lessons, and a cozy base lodge are all available on-site.
Up the road sits "The Beast of The East", Killington Mountain! Expert terrain and steep slopes make this mountain great for those who want a challenge. The Woodstock Inn & Resort is the perfect respite after a day of shredding this major ski area.
Snowshoeing
This easy snow sport is a great way to hike during winter, and our vast range of trails at the Woodstock Nordic Center caters to all abilities. Explore Mt. Tom and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, or head out the Nordic Center's doors and trek Mt. Peg's trails. Snowshoe rentals and the hottest winter gear are available at the Nordic Center Shop.
Fatbiking
Bring your fat bike to ride the Mt. Peg trails! This sport is increasing in popularity and can be a lot of fun in the right conditions. The large tires help grip the snow and ice, climbing uphill like no other bike can, allowing you to conquer any of our courses. Enjoy a ride across a snow-covered meadow or take on the challenge of some steep backcountry tracks on Mt. Peg. Rentals are not available at the Woodstock Nordic Center, but some local outfitters stock fat tire bikes that you can take out for the day!
