When the snow falls in Woodstock, Vermont the town gets transformed into a ski village with a large network of groomed trails for cross-country skiing (classic and skate) and snowshoeing.

Mt. Peg Trails
Owned and operated by the Woodstock Nordic Center, the large trail network has groomed trails with set tracks for classic skiing and ungroomed trails for snowshoeing.
- Location: The Woodstock Nordic Center at 74 South Street, Woodstock, Vermont. Additional Trailhead and parking at Knox Meadow (south of the Woodstock Athletic Club).
- Access: Day pass or season pass from the Woodstock Nordic Center is required for ski trails. No pass is required to hike or snowshoe the Mt. Peg Park Trails (red dotted routes on map).
- Equipment: Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fatbiking. Rental packages are available at the Woodstock Nordic Center, no bike rentals available. Walking is allowed on the Mt. Peg Park Trails only (red dotted routes on map).
- Dogs: No dogs allowed on the Mt. Peg ski trails. Dogs are allowed on the Mt. Peg Park Trails (red dotted routes on map).
Mt. Tom & the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller-National Historical Park
This large trail network in Vermont's only national park is maintained and groomed in the winter months by the Woodstock Nordic Center team.
- Location: The Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park parking lot across from Billings Farm & Museum. Additional Trailhead and parking on Prosper Road. Parking and trails are open from sunrise to sunset.
- Access: Day pass or season pass from the Woodstock Nordic Center is required for ski and snowshoe trails. Pick up your pass at the Woodstock Nordic Center. No pass is required to walk on the Multi-Use Trail (yellow highlighted route on map).
- Equipment: Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Rental packages are available at the Woodstock Nordic Center. Walking is allowed on the multi-use trail only (yellow highlighted route on map). No biking is allowed in the park.
- Dogs: Leashed dogs are allowed on the Mt. Tom trails.
Billings Farm Trail
The one-mile groomed path around the Billings Farm hay field provides an easy route to ski or snowshoe. Perfect for those not ready to explore larger networks!
- Location: Billings Farm & Museum at 69 Old River Road, Woodstock, Vermont. Check hours of operation before going. Open winter weekends & holiday weeks.
- Access: Use of the trail is included with Billings Farm & Museum admission.
- Equipment: Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and walking. Rental packages are available at the Woodstock Nordic Center.
- Dogs: No dogs are allowed at Billings Farm & Museum.
