Sheep Shearing & Hearding
Get a peek at the rich history and legacy of sheep in Vermont. This weekend of shear fun will feature live demonstrations of spring shearing and Border Collie herding. Follow the stages of the sheep to wool process through interactive skirting and carding stations and see demonstrations of felting, knitting, crocheting, drop spindle and wheel spinning and weaving on a loom. Children can collect stamps in a Sheep to Wool Passport and have a chance to spin and take home their very own woolen bracelet.
The Wicked Awesome BBQ Food Truck will be on site Saturday and Sunday, 11:00AM – 4:00PM. Stop by the Farmhouse Scoop Shop for ice cream and snacks, open 11:00AM – 5:00PM.
