Tea Time with Billings Farm & Museum

in the Inn Lobby

Join us on Mondays in July for a weekly collaboration with Billings Farm & Museum during our usual Tea Time in the Lobby with fresh baked cookies!

July 1 - Guess the Artifact  – Explore the artifacts Billings Farm & Museum shares from their collection and try to identify the object and it’s purpose!

July 8 - Victorian Flower Language –  Explore the special meanings Victorians assigned to flowers and plants. Learn how these meanings were used in art, poetry, and everyday life, and the important role botany played in the lives of the Billings and Aitken daughters.

July 15 - Butter Making - A local favorite, using cream and a dazey churn, Billings Farm will make butter from scratch to sample! Give the butter a churn yourself and learn more about butter's origins.

July 22 - Food For Thought - Using fresh produce, Billings Farm will help guests think more about the food that they eat, where it comes from and how their diet would have been different in the late 1800s.

July 29 – Check out the Chicken – Meet a Billings Farm chicken! Visitors can learn about chickens, their care and their uses. This visit will be held outside.
