Appreciating Autumn & Waiting for Winter
The early morning frost has begun to blanket our valley’s fields and on the highest of nearby peaks, snow has been spotted. In the quaint village of Woodstock, Vermont we are savoring the last of this year’s foliage as the oak, beech, and aspen trees hang onto their golden leaves. Soon autumn will float into the wind and with it, the remaining foliage. We know it won’t be long until snow checks-in for the winter season and our town is transformed into a wonderland of holiday cheer.
As we begin to seek the warmth of the indoors even more during these chilly months, and look forward to the exciting outdoor winter recreation in the area, please know that our resort is dedicated to the wellness of our guests, employees, and community. Our modified resort operations and stay safe protocols are in place to keep us safe and comfortable inside and out.
Holiday Traditions ~ New & Old
The holiday time is always a favorite for guests and locals in the picturesque village of Woodstock. Our celebrations have been adapted to put safety first this year and we invite you to join us for wonderful decorations, delicious feasts, and splendid times with family and friends.
- Thanksgiving Feast: Savor the best of this celebration with a 3-course dinner featuring Thanksgiving favorites prepared by our team of expert chefs.
- Wassail Weekend: Bundle up to explore the cheer-filled town and end the day with our 3-course Wassail Feast and cozy cocktails, sharing stories with friends by the fire.
- Christmas Week: Bring the family for quality time together while you enjoy our holiday week activities including Guided Snowshoe Hikes, Sleigh Rides at Billings Farm, and a scrumptious 3-course Christmas Feast.
- New Year’s Eve: Celebrate the New Year with a champagne toast and a decadent 4-course dinner!
The Next Season
As we wrap up some of our favorite summer and fall sports like golfing, mountain biking, and fly-fishing, we can’t help but get excited for the next round of recreation! With snow comes snowsports, and at the Woodstock Inn & Resort that means alpine skiing & snowboarding at Suicide 6, plus nordic skiing, fatbiking, and snowshoeing at the Woodstock Nordic Center. Speaking of our legendary Nordic facility – we’ve been nominated in USA Today’s 10Best Cross-Country Ski Resorts in North America!

Our Gift Cards do not expire, so gifting them will allow your cherished friends and family a chance to get away for a vacation whenever they are able to do so – something that is especially important this year.
