Tension Releasing Exercises (TRE®) are exercises that assist the body to release stress and tension held deep in the muscles. In this class, we’ll activate a natural mechanism in your body to create a shaking or vibrating sensation within the muscles. This process ultimately causes the muscles to relax, calms your nervous system, and allows your body to return to a more balanced state of rest. This is a great post-workout recovery!
Carolyn Barnwell is a wellness coach who helps people get to the heart of their story. She has been practicing TRE® for 15 years. In this class, we'll do standing and lying exercises on a mat and end with deep relaxa5on. Carolyn has a BA in Human Ecology from Middlebury and did graduate work at the Salt Ins5tute for Documentary Studies and Accomplishment Coaching.
