Budding, Blooming & Bright
Spring has arrived and brought us bouquets of colorful flowers, hillsides full of bright green, and a bundle of activities! From seeds being sowed in our 4-acre organic garden, signature seasonal treatments in The Spa, and fresh plates served in our dining room, May in Woodstock, Vermont combines the spring calm with anticipation for summer. Outdoor adventures have begun and our stay and play packages offer truly memorable experiences for activities like golf, falconry, fly-fishing, and tennis. And we’re just getting started! As the month moves on, summer fun like biking, hiking, and swimming make a splash alongside restful vacation days spent in an Adirondack chair on the lawn. Now’s the time to get ready for adventure and luxury – all in one at Vermont’s most beautiful address.
New Cuisine, Historic Setting
Executive Chef Matthew McClure is taking on our beloved Farm-To-Table dining experience! The popular Red Barn Dinner Series is returning with his fresh perspective and wholesome food philosophy. Anchored by seasonal produce from our organic Kelly Way Gardens, the specialty events will feature exceptional ingredients from local farms and refined techniques on each unique dish, all in the beautiful and historic Red Barn Culinary Studio. Alongside Chef Matthew McClure, guest speakers will include the very farmers and purveyors that evening’s highlighted ingredients were sourced from!
The dinners, complete with wine pairings will take place on select Wednesday evenings June – September. To allow our chefs to source and craft hyper-local menus that reflect the growing season, the dates will be released on a month-by-month basis.

So Fresh, So Green
Home to the oldest public course in the state, our Woodstock Country Club embraces its unique 128-year legacy. Today’s 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Sr. masterpiece winds boastfully along the Kedron Brook. But the historic course is not stuck in the past, a refresh of look and layout on holes 4 and 6 has been completed and will help the course stay sharp for years to come! Brand new carts, the latest merch in the Golf Shop, and the Jr PGA League keeps our historic club fresh.
Open Daily for the season, our PGA Pro, Matt Closter has this to say: “Conditions are excellent coming out of winter. Recent enhancements to the fourth and sixth holes have involved tree removal, rough mounding, and the addition of three new fairway bunkers. The new look is simply amazing!"
More Than a Garden
Kelly Way Gardens is a special place and holds an even more special job at our resort; providing our kitchens with fresh, organic, heirloom produce daily during the growing season. Our gardeners are committed to showing you where your food comes from and want you to discover and explore for yourself with these events:
- Weekly Family Sensory tours to taste, touch, smell, see, and hear the beauty of the gardens.
- Weekly Pun Tours to spread hap-pea-ness and take thyme for fun!
- Annual Great Tomato Tasting to bite into summer and learn about heirloom varieties.
- Home Pickling & Canning classes in August to learn how to preserve your favorites for the colder months.
- Why Waltz When You Can Salsa classes to make summer’s tastiest sides from fresh garden ingredients.
